T-Post
Newspapers are on the decline, with a growing number of people receiving the news online. The days of wrestling with over-sized pages of the Times (the contents blackening our hands) are coming to a close. Soon they will go the way of records, videotapes, and typewriters. We still like our news to be tangible, though, so we love the Swedish folks at T-Post’s reinvention of the magazine subscription.
Every six weeks you receive a t-shirt in the mail with a news article printed on the inside of the shirt, where the tag would be. We love these one-of-a-kind shirts and that the folks at T-Post choose articles from around the world that don’t get a lot of news coverage. A recent “issue” focuses on a British report detailing a boom in drugs that improve our brains and suggesting that this could create a larger divide in the class system between the affluent super-smart drugged up peeps and their less fortunate drug-free counterparts. And this is just the inside of the shirt!
Social Currency: A picture really is worth a thousand words. The custom art on these shirts is sure to be a conversation starter at parties, and since they limit the number sold in each city and only print enough for subscribers, you’re bound to stand out in a crowd, and have an interesting story to tell.
